As Senior Editor, I lead a team of writers and editors in the ideation and execution of the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance (SDZWA) annual report. This comprehensive book showcases scientific, educational, and mission-driven impact at the world-famous San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, and conservation science projects worldwide.

It’s a collaborative effort with dozens of executives and stakeholders representing various interests.

Working under a new brand, voice, and tone, I found fresh ways to share our work, while reporting on how COVID-19 impacted our parks and global conservation programs. It’s received rave reviews at the highest levels of the organization, and has become one of SDZWA’s most powerful storytelling tools.

It was awarded first place at San Diego Press Club’s Excellence in Journalism Awards.
